WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING
"Knox is the best. I never have any pest issues which is proof their product works. The technicians are always very accommodating and the billing department is very professional."
(A message from our owner, Sean Knox)
Hello everyone,
I’m often asked what it means to be a fourth-generation leader in a family business. Our history at Knox Pest Control stretches back to a company my great-grandfather started in the 1920s. While that original business was sold, the spirit of it never left our family. In 1995, my father, with my brother and me by his side, took a leap of faith and restarted the company that so many of you trust today.
Growing up in this environment, I learned that a business isn’t just about the service you provide; it’s about the people you serve and the community you build. For us, leadership has always been synonymous with service.
This philosophy was truly cemented for me during my time at Regent University. While I originally planned to pursue a traditional MBA, I found myself drawn to a Master’s in Public Policy. The university’s mission—”Christian Leadership to Change the World”—resonated deeply with me. It provided a framework for what I felt was my true calling: to lead with purpose, integrity, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact, whether that was in business, politics, or our local community.
I carried that lesson with me when I decided to come home and help grow our family business. I believe it’s the bedrock of our success. Our philosophy of servant leadership is what has allowed us to grow from a single office to 18 locations across the Southeast, empowering our 225+ team members and earning the trust of over 90,000 customers. At Knox, we don’t just want to be the best pest control company; we want to be a company that invests in its people and its communities.
But that commitment can’t stop at our front door. It has to extend into the world around us. For me, that means actively participating in our community, whether it’s through serving on boards with the Boys & Girls Club and the Rotary Club or by giving back to institutions that are shaping the next generation.
When I give back to my alma mater, Regent University, it’s because I passionately believe in that mission I learned years ago. Now, more than ever, our world needs principled, ethical leaders in every field. If I can play a small part in helping to raise up those future leaders, I consider it an honor and a responsibility.
At the end of the day, our work at Knox Pest Control is about protecting families and businesses. But our purpose is about building a legacy of service, leadership, and positive change. Thank you for placing your trust in us and for being a part of our story.
Sincerely,
Sean Knox Owner, Knox Pest Control
